Sir Ness Wadia
(1873 – 1952)
Sir Ness Wadia (1873 – 1952) was born into a pedigree of industrial prowess and philanthropy. Following in the footsteps of his parents Bai Jerbai Wadia and Nowrosjee Nusserwanji Wadia, Sir Ness Wadia, dedicated his wealth and expertise to help and support underprivileged communities.
He pioneered several infrastructural community development projects, which are some of the largest and most effective establishments in the country, even today. His work included spearheading maternity and pediatric care for women and children who were limited by their resources. He also worked to enhance the quality of education and housing, and build a healthier, happier and more empowered community.
Here at the Sir Ness Wadia Foundation, we are proud to follow in the footsteps of a man as exemplary as Sir Ness Wadia, and tirelessly strive to carry on his legacy in the field of social development in India.
